Hi All,
Well - I have found what I consider the holy grail of junk stores/
99cent store/ everything store (what do they call them where you are
from... that could be an interesting post :)
Basically, it's one of those stores that has everything from coat
hangers to toasters to pots and pans to kids toys to moth balls to
pillows and sheets (korean style) to tupperware to plants... I bought
some book shelves for the kids room. They deliver to Hannamdong.
some interesting items:
coolers for drinks and food (summer picnics)
ceramic pots for outside and inside plants
large metal storage racks
silverware
china sets (plates, bowls, cups, etc)
Um, lest this get too boring...
Anyway, it's over the hill from UN Village. On the way to Haddon
market, and past that (one more hill) is Guennam Market (Guenam Shee
Jang) It's not much of an outdoor market - but I have found this a
really useful part of town. (My first 99 cent store there on the
corner when you turn right. They put their stuff outside, you should
be able to see it - great store, limited parking)
Just a few long steps down the road is a "morning fresh" supermarket
and a samsung store. Tae the stairs down to B1 and go underneath....
This place has all those knick knacks that you go crazy trying to find
at other stores. Only worth a trip, if you haven't found your own
'everything store' :)
Cheers!
