We are participating in Prison Fellowship's Angel Tree Ministry for
our third year at Discovery Church and would like to open this
opportunity up for our entire SENTralized community to get involved.

Angel Tree, in case you are not familiar with it, is a ministry that
provides gifts for children in our area whose parent/s are
incarcerated. The gift is "from" the incarcerated parent and allows us
to build relationships with those families and act out of love in
giving without receiving anything in return.

Each child receives 2 gifts. One is a practical/clothing item and the
other is a toy/entertainment item. We currently have 8 angels left on
our tree. Would you be willing to provide a gift for these kids? Each
gift should be in the $20-$25 price range and can be delivered either
to me or Discovery Church by next Sunday, Dec 16th.

In addition to the gifts provided for the children, this year we are
also providing gifts to the caregivers. In many cases one parent is
left caring for the kids (many of our families have 3-4 children) with
very little help or support from other family members. The strain of
being the sole provider is so difficult, especially at this time of
year. So we would like to reach out to the caregivers and offer gift
cards this Christmas. They can be for practical items, such as
groceries or gasoline, or for something special that they might not
otherwise be able to do, for example a gift card for a restaurant or
movie theater. We have 13 caregivers who have not been "signed out"
yet.

You may decide to give virtually and simply send a check to
SENTralized and I will purchase and wrap the gifts with those funds,
or you can purchase the items yourselves. If you would be interested
in participating in this ministry with us, please email me for a list
of the children's names and ages along with the parents' gift request
for their child.

Again, there are 8 children (at 2 gifts each) remaining and 13
caregivers still in need of someone to give. Gifts can be monetary,
all gifts purchased and delivered to DC or myself should be wrapped
and include a gift receipt (whenever possible).

Thank you!

Jana
