Hi,

Got introduced to Sensus at UbiComp and have recently been trying to use it for an experience sampling study. However, it seems it is not possible to use time as a trigger, which surprises me. All I want to do is trigger questions twice per day with a random delay after two specific start times.

Is that not currently possible?

Regards,
Håkan

Hi Hakan -

Yes, this is possible. If you look at the script (survey) probe, you'll see a Random Windows field. For example, if you wanted two surveys, one randomly between 9am-10am (e.g., 9:32am) and one randomly between 1pm-2pm (e.g., 1:56pm), then you would enter the following into Random Windows:

9:00-10:00,13:00-14:00

Note that the survey will be deployed at a random time during each future window (e.g., 9:32am on day 1, 9:57am on day 2, etc.)

Is this what you need?

That works.
I expected time to be a trigger, but I guess that time is often used in combination with other triggers, and combinations gets quite complex.

Thanks,
Håkan
