Is it possible to clear the "old" data send to a channel?

For example, I have been playing around with a channel, which now contains a lot of strange data.
Would be nice to be able to clear this.

Yes.  Goto to 'channels', then 'my devices'.  Select the one you want to delete data for.  

You will then see the 'river' of data on the right side of the screen.  Mouse over the data you want to remove; you will see a small trash can icon.  Click that trashcan and that data point is gone.

What about clearing a range of events between two points in time?

I think if I was going to clear 'old' data, the method I would probably consider is just deleting the current app and recreating it.  Basically, start a new app that does the required process.
