I recently discovered open.sen.se and got very excited about what I could do with the data I output from my arduino projects and how I could generate actions based on that. I immediately started running up some small scale projects and found this group but was surprised that at the lack of discussion going on. Then I noticed that the developer's blog was practically dead, as was their Twitter feed. There was a reference a few months back to a successor to sen.se being in the works. Does this mean sen.se is basically treading water now? Does anyone have any idea what it's future is and what we can expect from it's successor?

Given that Sen.se is still in closed beta, I would expect a lot more change before they get to a viable commercial model.
The current lack of activity is I would assume because of limited resources -- a similar slowdown last year was explained quite reasonably in https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/sense-api/J7bQ-zEMT6g.  Hopefully the resources are working on improvements to the product.

From my own point of view, I have done all I can with the current toolset of applications and I am marking time until there is additional facility. My main criticism is that there is no back end processing available to developers (without developing and hosting new applications). This leaves far too much going on in the UI in order to accomplish quite modest calculations. [E.g. try working with the timing of successive events].

All in all, I am still a supporter of the concepts behind sen.se.

Thanks Roland, that's a pretty good summary. I certainly didn't mean to criticise sen.se, the current closed beta is very impressive and I'm looking forward to future developments.

Hi Gary,

Is it possible for you to tell me how can I get temperature and humidity floating point (fraction)?
At the moment all I am receiving on graph, just numbers without floating like for example Temp 20C and Humidity 58%
but I need to get graph like 20.0C and 58.0% respectively. I have made sure about my channel sittings many times, nothing wrong with that.
Any relevant help will be appreciate.

Thanks,
Jaam
