Coach’s Agreement

Arrival
Teams and spectators who arrive before 9 a.m. will not be charged a parking fee. Arrivals after 9 a.m. are $12. No exceptions, no parking refunds.
Tickets
All teams, coaches, and spectators swipe their ticket at the turnstile for entry.
Bring with You

Extension cord, 10’ to 20’
Practice mat, if you like. NO wooden table set ups permitted.
Wristbands
Wristbands have been counted carefully. Lost or stolen wristbands will not be replaced.
Cutting or sharing wristbands is not permitted, and this action would be noted by Core Values Judges.
Entry
Teams 1-45 will have white wristbands and will enter through the turnstile at 8:00 and enter the Pit at 8:15.
Teams 46-56 will have red wristbands. They may enter through the turnstiles as early as 8:00 up to the blockpoints. They may pass the blockpoints at 10 a.m. when the park opens. Teams 46-56 may enter the Pit at 11:20.
Spectators will not have wristbands. They may enter through the turnstiles as early as 8:00 up to the blockpoints. They may pass the blockpoints at 10 a.m. when the park opens.
Pit
Spectators are not permitted in the Pit—our Pit is like a baseball dugout: Wristbanded team members and coaches only.
Team Individual Schedules
Final Version attached. Pages for Teams 1-24 have been corrected.
Practice Tables
Four half-tables will be available on the North Miniland patio.
Judging
10 minutes with each judging group.
Core Values: Teamwork activity and Q&A. Poster is used as a “conversation starter”
Project: 5 min presentation, 5 min Q&A
Robot Design: Bring print out of programming, demonstrate robot, Q&A. “Robot Design Executive Summary” is used only as a guideline for judges.
Qualifying Tournament Champions
- Fill in Team number and name on the “chart” below, and reply to this email.
- Bring your QT Championship trophy to the Championship Tournament.
- Be prepared to go onstage at the Lunchtime Rally to represent your QT. We will recognize all the areas represented at the Southern California Championship.
Blankets The Closing Ceremony will be on the Miniland Lawn—we have outgrown the Fun Town Stage! You might want to bring a blanket to sit on, as the grass is wet in the late afternoon this time of year.
Championship Participation Medals
…will be distributed individually to team members, immediately after their 3rd robot game match, outside LEGO® Showplace Theatre.
These are for participating team members only, not for mentors, adults, or siblings.
Please respect that this official FLL token of appreciation is for team members only.
Callbacks
Each Judging group will choose two teams to be seen again in the afternoon, by a different set of judges. Callback teams will be announced at the Lunchtime Rally.
