Lunchtime Rally

If you advanced from your QT with any other award, or otherwise advanced from your QT
Callbacks will be announced at the Lunchtime Rally.
Arrival
Teams 1- 45 Please arrive at the Group Window by 7:30, so that you are ready at the LEGOLAND turnstiles with wristbands on and tickets in hand before 8:00. We will open the turnstiles and Pits at 7:30 – 7:45 for early bird teams.
Teams 46-55 With rain in the forecast, we suggest that you arrive no earlier than when the Park opens, at 10 a.m. Your team has had parking passes mailed to you. You may enjoy the Park in the morning, and may enter your Pit no earlier than 11:20.
All teams, coaches, and spectators will be able to enter LEGOLAND up to the First Aid area from 7:30 – 10:00; however, only Teams 1-45 and coaches with wristbands will proceed to the Pit and Judging before 10 a.m.
For the convenience of early arrival spectators, The Market will be open near the entry of the Park
Parking
Your team’s parking passes have been emailed to you.
If you arrive before 9:00 a.m., you will not need a parking pass.
There are no “in/out” priveleges for Parking— For example, if you arrive before 9 a.m., leave, and return after 9 a.m., you will be charged for Parking upon your return.
Wristbands
Must be worn for entry.
These are for Pit access for registered Team members and coaches only.
Wristbands cannot be shared among coaches.
If you accidentally put a wristband on a sibling or extra adult, please visit the Group Window with the person, they will cut the wristband and issue a replacement.
No replacements for lost or stolen wristbands.
Team 1-45 will have white wristbands, Teams 46-55 will have blue wristbands. They are different colors to indicate the time of Pit entry.
Judges Areas
Teams scheduled for Judges Group 4 or Judges Group 5 will see judges on the Model Shop rooftop. See the interactive map at www.legoland.com to view the location.
Teams with Judging Group 1-3 will see Judges on the MINDSTORMS patio.
One coach and an optional additional videographer will be permitted in the Judging tent when your team is presenting. Coach or other adult must not stand between the team and the judges, and may not stand behind the judges.
Rain and Gracious Professionalism
We might have a bit of rain—as we know in Southern California this usually will subside after an hour or two.
The tournament is mostly an outdoor venue for spectators.
Please come prepared for rain with umbrellas. Please consider bringing lightweight plastic tarps or blankets for the Awards Ceremony; the grass will be wet.
If necessary, spectators may be asked to clear the competition theatre after their team performs, to make room for new spectators coming in the watch their team. The theatre is large, this is just a heads up.
Teams’ Pit areas, Judging areas, and Robot Game are indoors or in tents.
Please do not push or shove volunteers or LEGOLAND staff. Coaches are responsible for the conduct of spectators who come with them, and judges will be notified of any lack of gracious professionalism. Please review the Coach’s Agreement, attached.
Thanks for your dedication and work with your team! Please call in tomorrow and we will answer all your last minute questions and concerns, large and small, please do not hesitate to ask. Or please email me.
Best,
Lynn Crockett I Education Programs Manager

Rakesh:
Hope he feels better soon. Can we coordinate on the props tonight?
Raj
Good point. Few other possible items:
1. Trash bags to cover the prop-car
2. Overcoat even for ourselves would not be a bad idea as our hands are going to carrying stuff (so no room for an umbrella)
3. Few waterproof mats to sit on
4. Wind resistant Jackets (not woolen sweaters) to weather the chillness and rain
5. Shoes that don’t soak water
In addition, of course, snacks and water. The reason we have to go prepared is because the whole thing will be over in 4 hours so we won’t have time to go out and buy, if needed.
Lets plan on being there by 7:30 or earlier. Pls. read all the instructions they had given us. I will customize a schedule for us to follow. For now, if we can plan on splitting the props and passengers by tonight and bring the things mentioned above, and arrive on time there, we should be safe.
