Late night smile,
A man was sitting next to an empty seat at the 50 yard line
during the Seahawks/Steelers Super Bowl. As the game was about to start,
a stranger approached and asked if anyone was using the empty
seat.
"No," he said, "The seat is empty."
"That's incredible," said the
stranger. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Super
Bowl, the biggest sporting event in the world, and not use it?"
"Actually, the seat belongs to me,"
said the man. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This
is the first Super Bowl we haven't been to together since we got married in
1987."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible," said the stranger.
But couldn't you find someone else, a friend or relative, or a neighbor
who wanted the seat?”
The man shook his head sadly. "No, they're all at the
funeral."
