Melville J. Herskovits Prize to SGSG Member

Dear Members of the Senegambian Studies Group,

 

The Senegambian Studies Group is very pleased to announce that one of our members, Professor Fallou Ngom, has received The Melville J. Herskovits Prize (at the 2017 African Studies Association Conference in Chicago) for his book entitled Muslims beyond the Arab World: The Odyssey of Ajami and the Muridiyya (London and New York: Oxford University Press, 2016). Congratulations Professor Ngom!
