Dear colleagues,

I am sure some of you are following the debate around rape prompted by the statements of Professor Songue Diouf on March 9th on the television show "Jaakarlo Bi," which airs every Friday on TFM (link is below).

I know the CFP for the next ASA has closed. Should we find ways to have a discussion about it in Atlanta?

Regards to everyone.

Marame

Dear Professor Marame Gueye and all,

Thanks Professor Gueye for sharing the link to the video with Professor Songue Diouf 's statements on the recent "Jaakarlo Bi" TV show. I like your question and welcome suggestions from members of the Senegambian Studies Group on how we could discuss the assertions at the 2018 ASA convention.

Gratefully,

Babacar
