If you are using the NetFlix app, I honestly don't see how you could have a corrupt version, but if you delete from your iPad and then go to the App Store and redownload it (it is free after all), you would be downloading a clean version.
Nope, it will not work like that. When you delete the app ICloud saves the corrupt version and when you try to download it again it just recognizes that it is still there. I tried working it all out with the it guy at netflix and he said this is an ongoing problem with the new update on some systems. He referred me to apple to get it off. 19$ to talk with any apple tech on the phone. Somebody must know a fix for this.
When you visit the App Store and search for Netflix you will see a Cloud icon. This means you have downloaded the app previously but it is not presently on your iPad. If you want to download the app again tap the Coud icon. Otherwise leave it alone.
Contacted Netflix again and was able to talk with a real tech person who helped, he discovered it was the router that was not updating for some strange reason. He gave me a new DNS # and now it works. Problem solved.

HELLO i too make memes! and its so frustrating and awkward when i take a screen shot of netflix ( forgetting its just a black screen by now ) and go to send it to someone only to realize YET AGAIN its just a blank screen. it makes me feel like i took my netflix memes forgranted, i think it must be a copying thing because ive tried tips and tricks like pressing the buttons in different speeds and even double tapping home ( so all the app screen tabs show) and trying to crop the netflix screen tab like some kinda sneaky little snake and even the tab screen is black.... really dissapointed i cant see them giving it back. i wonder why they even took it away doh? ...
Workaround, not perfect but... pause when you want the screenshot, home button, double click home, finger skills to get biggest unhindered image, then if you want you can crop and edit. Just did it for 7 deadly sins. This scene had me rolling, what happened to other guy??? Closeup blue dramatics.... "he ...... died.... mid-bite. Hahaha
Actually the screenshot thing while in the tabs doesn't work now I just tried it today and it's a black screen which is really ******* me off it feels like Netflix is just controlling my screen and telling me I can't screenshot the video...lol it's annoying...I only found out they don't allow screenshots anymore today although it worked on a video I downloaded on Netflix so idk maybe they have to be downloaded...also what show was that the Simpsons?
That actually wouldn't work either unfortunately...the only thing I think works is if you download the episode because the same day I figured out the screenshots now end up all just black screens one screenshot worked earlier for an episode of my show hat I downloaded...so idk if it was just a glitch that it worked or that they have to be downloaded...turning off wifi and stuff didn't work and neither what you said which many others have suggested to later find out it doesn't work either. Ok sure that's ok that's fine. At least it would be if I didn't rely on screenshots for my post binge sanity recharge. I need those. I can't just watch a whole season and not capture the best facial expressions. I'm outraged.
There are two glaring issues with your theory: 1) It's not copyright infringement to use a very short clip (such as a screenshot of a video) or passage (less than a paragraph) from a copy written work without reference/citation so long as it isn't used to produce another copy written work, or sold in any form for monetary gain. And, 2) if copywrite infringement were of paramount importance to the legal team at Netflix, then why had we always been able to screenshot their content until just now?
YES !!!! THIS WORKS! I don't take screenshots for anything specific, but sometimes I see an actor or actress on another show and I want to share this on social media. I tried for the first time to take a screenshot of showtime anytime and i got a blank screen. I knew right away this was a copywrite issue. I tried your option and it worked! it's a little tricky tho, the app has to be at the end of the line, you have to hold the app in the center of the screen with one finger and still have two fingers to be available to press the power and home buttons for the screenshot.
I see. All you have to do is tap the power and tap the home button quick at the same time. I'm running IOS 10 in developer mode and haven't had a problem yet. If I do, I'll be sure to let you know. Hope this helps!
If you have Netflix on your Sky account and you have the correct package that allows you to use extra devices then you should be able to use your Sky login details to access Netflix on your mobile devices.
So if we've got the 'Netflix Basic plan', can we access Netflix on a mobile?

In my iphone 'Sky Go' app I cannot see anything specific regardin Netflix channels, and trying to log into Netflix (either on the phone or on a PC browser) they don't recognise my Sky email user/password.

how do you know it's SD? I don't see anything on the content on my phone that specifies. I've got a video quality option of Standard and Higher (though I don't use higher on the phone as download size would grow)
