There is a new version awaiting Thunderbird review right now (8.6.5) -- I don't know whether it will fix your problem, but please give it a try as soon as it's available, just to be sure we don't go down a rabbit hole debugging something that's already changed. Be sure to restart Thunderbird when you upgrade, and let me know if the problem is persisting after that.

I would expect the release to be available later today, but it depends on the reviewers schedules.

Thanks. By the way I should have mentioned I am using TB 78.5 with settings generally downloading new versions of TB as they are released. Should I slow these down in settings? because I really want to stay on TB compatible with Send Later (which I have supported in Kickstarter & thanks to all of you for the indispensible add on).

To my knowledge, anything above v78.3 should be fully compatible. I do all my testing with the latest Thunderbird version, but only when I'm preparing a Send Later release. So Thunderbird updates since the last Send Later release may not be tested yet.

I am now using Send Later 8.7.2 with TB 78.6.0 32 bit.

On choosing Send Later e-mail with 4 attachments, including a saved down version, in drafts deleted and e-mail sent to Local Outbox (without sending) [I was able to reinstate back to drafts - that is better than losing the whole email like happening to me last month]. Dialog to select send later time is not coming up.

That's the built-in "send later" behavior. It sounds like the Send Later extension is not enabled. Please re-enable the extension and restart Thunderbird.
