I'm using Thunderbird 52.4.0 64-bit.  When I have enabled the Send Later add-on, I receive a pop-up message on the screen every time the add-on checks for scheduled mails.

The message says "Unable to connect to your IMAP server.  You may have exceeded the maximum number of connection to this server.  If so, use the Advanced IMAP Server Settings dialog to reduce the number of cached connections."

Initially when I saw that message pop up, I followed the suggestion to reduce the number, but I still kept getting the pop-up message.  I reduced it all the way down to the minimum, and I still got the message.  Then I realized that the frequency that it was appearing was the same interval as the setting for Send Later to check for mails to send.  I adjusted the frequency to check for mails to send, and the pop-up changed frequency as well.  That is how I determined the two things are connected.  What can I do so that I will stop seeing the pop-up every time Send Later checks for mails to send?

Sorry you're running into this. It's not something I recall anybody running into before. Let's see if we can work together to figure it out. ;-)

Do you have multiple accounts configured in Thunderbird? If so, how many? Are they all Gmail, or do you have accounts with other mail providers as well?

Is it possible that your Drafts folder is missing for one or more of your IMAP accounts (note: even if the Drafts folder shows up in the folder tree in Thunderbird, it may not actually exist on the IMAP server)? If so, please follow the instructions in the user guide for ensuring that the Drafts folder actually exists for all of your accounts, and see if that helps.
