S! For 30 years, I went to a coffee house near me. For free, without payment, I read the tarot. On Wednesdays, I read the tarot to any person. I wrote a book, The Way of Tarot, and with this I can help people. Not by seeing the future, but by solving a lot of problems people have. Psychoanalysis is a problem because it comes from scientific people, from doctors. But the unconscious is not scientific. The unconscious is crazy. But art can understand that, and then we can heal psychological problems.

I think more people should know about your comics. You have done so many wonderful collaborations with fantastic artists, but in interviews people just talk about your movies again and again. Of course the movies are very interesting, but the comics represent 30 or 35 years of really unique work.

All my life I have felt like a mutant, always fighting to impose my work. Because a normal person would think: What does the public like? Romance? Then I will make romantic stories. They want fighting? I will make something with fights. They want Superman? I will make Superman. But myself, I did what I wanted and created my public. All my life I was creating a public. I think it is good to do that, because if not you will always repeat what people already know.

Alejandro Jodorowsky is a playwright, filmmaker, composer, mime, psychotherapist, and author of many books on spirituality and tarot, and over thirty comic books and graphic novels. He has directed several films, including The Rainbow Thief and the cult classics El Topo and The Holy Mountain. He lives in France. In 2019, Alejandro Jodorowsky was cited as one of the "100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People in the World" according to Watkins Mind Body Spirit magazine.

Jodorowsky is many things, but is probably best known as a movie director, with titles such as The Holy Mountain, Dune, The Dance of Reality, .. All his movies bear a strong stamp of his occult interest, and explore humanity's spirit and symbols.

Tarot cards have been used for centuries to read the symbols and understand the behavior of people through archetypes. I myself have been working with the cards for over ten years now, and they've been both a friend and a foe. As with many other things, it depends whether you use something or you abuse it.

Jodorowsky's teachings have helped me a lot in finding the right path (for me), to read the cards, and here I'd like to share with you a great video he made explaining tarot cards and such, and each of Major Arcana symbols. It's very informative and interesting, especially if you have any interest in underlying symbolic world of human language.

WARNING: This is the MINI version of the game that is the subject of this review. Of course there is a standard size version. This choice is motivated by the fact that there are very few MINI versions of Tarot de Marseille or Rider-Waite-Smith traditions. Regarding the Tarot de Marseille, to my knowledge there are only two MINI versions available on the market : Tarot de Marseille from Camoin - JodorowskyL'Ancien Tarot de Marseille from Paul Marteau (Grimaud)

The 78 cards are delivered in a small flexible cardboard box. The cards are really small, this MINI format has the advantage of being able to fit anywhere, in your satchel or your pocket. In fact, I always have it with me. It allows me to do an initiation to tarot reading anywhere and anytime. The size of the cards is not a problem, the images remain perfectly readable. The cards are printed on thick cardboard and are of good quality.

Alexandro Jodorowsky is best known as a comic book writer. He has notably scripted the series L'Incal, La Caste des Mta-Barons, Les Technopres and many others. He wrote plays and novels. He also directed a few films at the beginning of his career. In short, he is a prolific author. His Wikipedia page will inform you more about his biography.

Since the early 1980s, Alexandro Jodorowsky has given numerous lectures about Tarot reading. His approach has been to popularize and above all demystify the Tarot de Marseille through a psychological approach to card reading, far from the occultism and esotericism that can still be observed today. Finally, he met Philippe Camoin with whom he recreated a Tarot de Marseille.

Philippe Camoin claims to be the heir to the tradition of the last Marseille Master Cartiers. Indeed, his family owned a card game factory in Marseille. His ancestors bought the Conver company in 1863. But the Camoin publishing house definitively ceased its activity in 1970. He seems to be legitimate as a cardmaker, that is to say, to have all the expertise necessary to create a Tarot de Marseille in the respect of tradition.

However Philippe Camoin has a controversial personality. Indeed, on his website fr.camoin.com he develops rather curious and very debatable theories.For example, he argues the idea that the Tarot describes a path to the constellation of Sirius. He even adds that the Tarot de Marseille would have been created by Marie-Madeleine (Mary of Magdala) in the first century AD. Her theories are in total contradiction with historical elements and the chronology established by recognized historians such as Michael Dummett or Thierry Depaulis. I am not here to judge man but rather his creation. That said, Camoin's philosophy has largely influenced the conception of his game, it seems to me.
