We have recently committed to add support for RDF in our ongoing efforts in developing medical information systems for Research scientists and medical clinicians at a major Hospital.

Can anyone tell me if RDF2Go and RDFReactor are still active.  If not are there any alternatives libraries for working with Java/RDF backend systems

Finally, will the existing libraries here work with the current version of Jena 2.12?

Thank you.

Just today I created the newest version 5.0.1 of RDF2Go and RDFReactor which work with Jena 2.12.0 (and Sesame: 2.7.13). The new version can be found in Maven Central shortly, see here: http://search.maven.org/#search|ga|1|rdfreactor

There are other alternatives for working with Java/RDF especially if you want to use /existing/ Java classes and create RDF from them, i.e. "Java-first". RDFReactor, on the other hand, starts from RDFS schemas and creates Java classes, i.e. "RDFS-first".

Some Java-first approaches are: Empire https://github.com/mhgrove/Empire and AliBaba https://bitbucket.org/openrdf/alibaba

Best regards,

Roland.
