Hello,

When you have a freshly installed WSL and then starting from TSE for Linux version 4.50.14 or higher
and you do *not* have

 xclip

installed then

 CopyToWinClip()

and

 PasteFromWinClip()

will silently fail and do nothing.

One is then wondering what has to be done to resolve this not working.

===

According to the current latest read.me it states:

"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
29 Nov 2025 v4.50.14
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
System clipboard support added.  Works best if you have xclip or
xsel and your system supports the same.  Might work with wl-copy
and the included sclip.  For instance, sclip works in a real
xterm with Ubuntu, but does not fully work under WSL Ubuntu.
"

I would like to suggest to add a little bit more information:

You can install xclip by running WSL and typing the following commands
 sudo apt update
 sudo apt install xclip

with friendly greetings
