Hello,

If you run this TSE program:

 PROC Main()
  SetVideoRowsCols( 60, 100 )
 END

Does it do anything in your TSE for Linux?

Here:

Microsoft Windows Professional 10 + WSL Ubuntu + TSE for Linux version 4.50.14: Does nothing

Microsoft Windows Professional 10 + WSL Ubuntu + TSE for Linux version 4.50.16: Does nothing

Linux Ubuntu non-WSL + TSE for Linux version 4.50.13: Does nothing

with friendly greetings
Knud van Eeden

Ubuntu MATE 24.04.3 (non-WSL).  Tried executing from within the editor - nothing.  So then I tried with the -e option from the command line - nothing.

Hmm, maybe this is important.  Within the editor, I went into the Options menu, Change Display Size.  All 3 preset sizes - 25x80, 43x80, 50x80 - are grayed out.  All the Extended Modes are also grayed out, When I tried any of the Max Lines, Max Columns, Max Lines/Cols [25x80], or Custom Lines/Cols [25x80], which are *not* grayed out, none of those did anything.

So, to me it appears not that the macro you provided does not work, but rather that changing the display size does not work at all in Linux TSE.

If you want to see this working.
Go here:
https://bellard.org/jslinux/
And then choose this one:
https://bellard.org/jslinux/vm.html?url=alpine-x86-xwin.cfg&mem=256&graphic=1
At the bottom of the window is an up-arrow.
Upload the TSE .zip or tar file.
Gets put in your home directory.
Right click to open a terminal window.
unzip TSE.
Run it.
Select change display size, custom lines and columns.
Set those to say 36 rows by 94 columns.
Voila :)

I stand corrected. I was trying this with 4.50.13, where it does not work. I
just tried 4.50.16, and it *does* work on Ubuntu MATE, Linux Mint MATE, and
Rocky Linux GNOME Classic. Also, Knud's macro follows the same behavior: does
not work on 4.50.13, does work on 4.50.16.
