https://ecarlo.nl/tse/ToolsAndExtensions.html#ls
In Linux TSE this File Open -like tool browses directories while showing Linux properties in "ls -la" format.
In Windows TSE it does the same when browsing WSL directories.
For links it additionally shows from-name -> to-name.
For filenames it supports the Linux * and ? wildcards, as well as TSE regular expressions enclosed in %( and ).
For Windows TSE accessing a WSL instance it additionally supports:
- Showing a spinner or "..." during slow WSL access.
- Browsing a WSL instance as a non-default user, e.g. root.
It is noteworthy, that ls v2 is a lot more robust and has a lot more features than the versions I mailed about on 22 and 23 Aug 2025.
That said, while I of course tested its features and documented their limitations, ls has a lot of dependencies.
Please let me know if missed something.
Enjoy,
Carlo
