to Semware TSE Pro
I managed to update Chris Antos's grep macro (with UI) so it works on modern
Windows and Linux: https://semware.com/files/tse-pro/grep3230.zip

Getting this to work required me to also update the dialog macro from Dieter
Koessl: https://semware.com/files/tse-pro/dlg222.zip

I was able to contact Dieter via email, and he said he hasn't touched these
macros in 15 years, and has no interest in updating them with my changes.

So, I'm thinking about how to make my updates available to the TSE community.
semware.com still has upload instructions, but I think GitHub or GitLab would
now make better options, since we can retain file history in the repositories
rather than simple snapshots in zip files on semware.com.

I see some people have put a small amount of TSE-related content on both
GitHub and GitLab. I have accounts on both but have done most of my work on
GitHub before GitLab was created. Please let me know if anyone has a strong
preference for one or the other. Also, if someone has already set up a public
repo on either platform for user contributions, please identify that as well.
I searched for both "semware" and "tse" and I only see a couple small
individually-created repos for Semware related code.

Thanks.

FYI,
GitHub has been in recent news for significant downtime, being overloaded with lots of automated AI commits, and GitHub's owners not being able to deal with it.
I do not know the current status of that.

I think an official (aka Sammy-owned) GitXxx semware-tse repository would be cool, along with some contrib/username directories where we could all post our user-contributed macros.  Write access granted with a simple request here.  I know I have some work that I'd like to post.

I don't have any particular knowledge of how to set any of this up, but it seems feasible.  Discuss.

I like the idea.
There is an Sammy-owned Git repository:
https://github.com/sammymitchell

I know enough about git to be very dangerous.
But I am open for suggestions.

Dear Sammy,

with the source code of our favorite editor freely available,
one wonders naturally if there are perhaps any forks by other developers.

Have you ever been contacted by someone, or know of such a project?

Best Wishes,
Harald.

While it will be freely available, it isn't available yet.
I still need to put it on gitlab.
