Linux: untar with: Untar with: tar -xf tse-linux-4.50.7.tgz
It will create a tse directory and put all the files in there.

https://semware.com/files/tse-pro-install/tse-setup-4.50.7.zip
Windows: Nice install program. Unzip and run tse.exe.

Changes:
In Linux, tsort.com renamed tsort
In Windows, tsort.com renamed tsort.exe
The sort and sanity1 macros were updated to account for this.

FillBlock() - updated string length from 128 to 255. Thanks to Zhong Zhao
for the report.

TSE can finally read Windows partitions.
Thanks to Knud van Eeden for help with implementing this.

I am worried.
In the read.me an extra change is listed:
e32: sets codepage to 437
When tested this seems true:
TSE's Console version e32.exe no longer inherits its code page from its environment.
Non-US and non-English computers are typically configured with code page 850.

TSE Console 4.50.7 users with such a computer will start to see different characters in their existing files!

This will only happen for characters codes above 127, but still.
This table shows which characters will differ between code page 437 (American English) and the rest:
https://ecarlo.nl/tse/files/CodePages.html#SideBySide
Currently TSE Console 4.50.7 users' only remedy is to revert to TSE Console 4.50.6.
It is late, maybe I am missing something?

Carlo

I read about this (setting the code page), and I was thinking that it
would help..
But I guess not. :(
I'll remove that in the next version.
Thanks for letting me know!

On Windows 10,  unzip tse-setup-4.50.7.zip to d:\tse-setup-4.50.7\, then run tse.exe  as an administrator:

Hi zhong zhao,

Two points, which my tests say are not related:

1.
I cannot reproduce your problem.

2.
To get two extra installation options, that only an Administrator can perform, download the TSE release from my website and run the extra included "setup_as_administrator.cmd" script.
https://ecarlo.nl/tse/TseDownloads.html
The two extra options are to add TSE to File Explorer's context menu (like TSE's editwithtse macro does) and to add an ininstall program to Windows.

I've tried it a couple of times, but I cannot reproduce this.
There are 8 *.si files in an install. I wonder why it picked those
two to not install?
I will keep ciphering on this, but at this point, I have no clue :(

Exactly same here, see the 2 screenshots.

And not running it as an administrator.

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional.

The usual steps to reproduce (worked for all previous TSE installations)

1. Download the .zip file

2. Unzip it in a temporary directory

3. Create a directory tse_beta

4. Run tse.exe in that temporary directory

5. Installation starts

6. Accept always by pressing <ENTER> and indicating the directory tse_beta to install

7. Then you first get the 'could not compile' screen below

8. Then you get the 'halted' screen and the installation exits.

9. And when checking the tse_beta directory it is empty.

with friendly greetings

1. If I install in

 c:\TEMP\DDD

it works OK.

2. If I install in

 f:\WORDPROC\tse_beta

I get the below non-working result.

3. And f: is a USB drive

4. c: is an SSD, as usual.

5. Tried also to install on an external harddisk d:\
no issue.

6. If I try to install it on another USB drive g:\ it
fails also.

7. Current root cause assumed:

If you install it specifically on an USB drive you will get that error.

8. The workaround for now is thus to install on c: and to
move the directory to the other drive.
