Hi,
I run the e32 in version 4.5. In the earlier version parentheses etc. were shown matched. No longer so, which is a bit annoying.

As far as I can remember, the only change is that in 4.5 I have selected the color scheme `Black Console'.

The fucc configuration has been searched, but I find nothing about how to set matching on.

Hopefully someone could hint how to get this most useful feature operable again.

Christer

P.S. Recently I have had to do some modifications of the TeX output from Mathematica. Without matching this is almost impossible.

I do not understand.
AFAIK there is no standard TSE feature to automatically show matching parentheses.
Syntax hiliting can show parentheses in a different color, but it does so for all of them, not just the matching ones.
If this is what you are referring to, then a different color theme might help, but you already thought of that yourself.

Check the Macro AutoLoadList menu of the copy or backup of your old TSE version.
Maybe there was a macro autoloaded that did show-matching-parentheses for you?

There is a way to find the closest surrounding or the matching parenthesis.
It is Match in the Search menu, where it also lists its key.

Hope this helps,
Carlo

My memory kicked in. :-)
There is a macro "vmatch" in TSE's Potpourri menu.
Try it from there, and if it does what you expect, then to use it permamently add "vmatch" to TSE's Macro AutoLoad List menu and restart TSE.

Carlo! Thanks for your excellent memory. vmatch now autoloads. And in my 2005 Professional User's Guide, Index, under Match, there is now a note about your answer.
