Based on user feedback, my old Csv2flv tool, that converts a .csv buffer's comma separated values to fixed length values, has some
errors and limitations.
Based on my own judgement, baby-Carlo did not write it in a very readable and maintainable way.
"Csv2flv" is available on Semware's "Classic" website:
https://semware.com/html/tseprofilesd.php

My plan is to create a new tool CsvConv, that will have broader options to (not) convert things.
Below is my preliminary plan.
Please criticize, comment, and express yet unvoiced wishes.
Now is not the only time, but it is the ideal one.

As usual any progress will be posted at:
https://ecarlo.nl/tse/InDevelopment.html

Carlo

CsvConv plans:

This tool scans and converts a <filename>.csv (comma separated value) file
that is open or exists on disk, and:
- asks for conversion options that are not on the macro command line,
- shows a scan progress indicator,
- asks to confirm the output file's location, name and predicted size,
- shows a conversion progress indicator,
- writes the output file to disk,
- if memory is sufficient asks to load the output file.

The tool will concurrently support the following conversion options:
- Expand fields into aligned columns.
- Extract a list of numbered fields in the given order.
For example, extract fields "5 2 8".
- (Un)set or change the field separator and quote character, provided this
does not cause a conflict with a field's content.
When converting to double-quoted fields, a single double-quote in a field's
content is converted to a double double-quote conform Excel's default.

Sound great Carlo. I presume you are going to handle
RemoveTrailingWhite better. Also the extension .flv for
fixed length value seems to be non standard and .flv can be used for:

Flash Video is a container file format used to deliver digital video
content (e.g., TV shows, movies, etc.) over the Internet using Adobe
Flash Player version 6 and newer.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_Video

However I have not found a better extension.
