ToggleColumnReplaceMode

Hello Sammy,

In the "ws.ui" (WordStar user interface), a function is assigned to ^KI or <ctrl-k><i> called "ToggleColumnReplaceMode()", but I don't believe this function is defined anywhere. The purpose of this function is to toggle as setting so that when a vertical column block is moved on to an existing hunk of text, the column will either overwrite existing text or else insert itself, pushing existing text to the right of the inserted column.

I suspect that this function exists somewhere under another name. Can you give me the correct name, or does the function still need to be written?

So not found anywhere except in WordStar ws.ui

And  there is only a 1-liner found, not the function definition thus.

//<ctrl k><i>             ToggleColumnReplaceMode()

and searching for '<ctrl k><i>' shows:

"<Ctrl k><i>             ToggleColumnReplace"

and this 'ToggleColumnReplace' is also only found as that 1-liner.

Conclusion: both are mentioned in the ws.ui as a key-assignment.

But the actual implementation (e.g. proc ...) is not there.

It still needed to be written.  I've updated the latest ws.ui, adding this function.

It will be in version 4.50.16.
