Hello,

I found a solution that creates .jpg to .ppm, .png to .ppm, ...
which I tested and runs successfully on both TSE for Microsoft Windows and 
TSE for Linux WSL.

Hello,

1. See the attached program

    chanficp.s

2. Put it e.g. in your working directory

3. Compile it

4. Make sure that you have a file 

    plot.png

   in the current directory

5. Run it

Input the from file: e.g. plot.png

Input the to file: e.g. plot.ppm

6. It will convert your .png file to a .ppm file

7. Tested successfully on TSE for Microsoft Windows version 4.50.24
and also
TSE for Linux version 4.50 official release
