TSE's macro language has about 650 commands. I have difficulty remembering
the name of some commands to do a function I have in mind. I particularly
I have difficulty with commands that start with "get" vs those that start with
"curr" and then there are those that have neither.

"Appendix C: Commands By Category" in the Help (the second Appendix C: :) is
helpful but even that is spread over 8 screenfuls for me.

I've been pondering a picklist of commands by category crammed as much as
possible on one screen. When I have TSE full screen (23" diagonal monitor) I
have 42 lines of 184 characters, black letters on a white background.

I can display almost all commands on one screen. I call it my 2D commands list
(2 dimensional). I put the categories in all caps but even then it is pretty
unreadable. I'm hoping that if make the categories Intense Bright White ON Red
that it would be reasonably readable. If so a specialized copy/paste function
as well as links to the command help could be written and be a way of easily
picking commands. See attached file 2d-cmds.txt

BTW I sometimes have two instances of TSE in different terminal tabs or windows
with one of them dedicated to help so I can leave a help screen open while I
use the help info in another window/tab and come back to the help quickly.
This could make the 2d commands list convenient.

I have done very little with video commands or syntax hiliting which uses
video commands. I will post separately about that which maybe someone can
help me with.

So all one has to do is save the file with the extension

 .s

and then the TSE syntax highlight kicks in and should
show about all the commands in the same color
with exeption of the ':' suffix words.

I think one of the best ways to become familiar with the SAL language is to read and even debug ui\*. ui and mac\*. s*
