Subject: A survey on GenAI & software engineering education

Hi Foutse,

I hope you are doing well.

My colleagues and I are conducting a ~15-minute online survey to understand the gaps between the IT industry and university education on the use of Generative AI for software development.   This study will help us adapt curricula to better prepare future developers.

We were wondering if you could contact your friends from the industry and encourage them to participate?
We would really appreciate it. This is the survey link:  https://wmsas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_81dPMVPGX1ltskS

Thank you so much.

We are members of the SEMERU research lab at William & Mary. As GenAI tools transform software development, it’s critical to understand the gap between university education and industry requirements. Your insights will shape how we prepare future developers for the rapidly evolving landscape. We would greatly appreciate ~15 minutes of your time to complete this survey: https://wmsas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_81dPMVPGX1ltskS
