FSE 2026 Student Volunteers and Next SEMTL

Hello everyone,

Happy holidays / joyeuses fêtes!

Two things to mention today.

1. The next SEMTL is currently planned for Thurs, Feb 5th in the morning at ÉTS. Further details will follow.
2. Along with Diego Elias Costa, we are the student volunteer co-chairs for the ACM International Conference on the Foundations of Software Engineering (FSE) taking place in Montréal July 5th to 9th at Concordia.

We are looking for student volunteers from around Montréal, so if you have a good candidate, please point them towards the info page: https://conf.researchr.org/track/fse-2026/fse-2026-student-volunteers

Each submission consists of two elements:

1. An online form filled out by the student (available on the page)
2. A letter of recommendation from (one of) the student’s advisors or another faculty member at your institution, sent to me. The letter should cover your organizational skills, willingness to help, proficiency in English, and anything else to help us select you as a student volunteer.

Both submission elements must be received by 31st Mar 2026. But there are a limited number of student volunteer spots, so apply early for best chances!
