Hello i am totaly new vinyl cutting i have never used a plotter in my life before. Because signs are so expensive to have made here in the UK i decided to have a go myself. I purchased a Pcut CT1200 serial plotter on ebay the first problem after purchase was i only had a laptop running windows 7 no serial port so i had to get a computer with a serial port i accuired an old del computer with a serial port running windows XP. The next problem was the drivers for the plotter i have been trying to find out how to load this driver now for the past 8 weeks i have the driver disc and the read me file instructions but i just do not understand them can any one help the instructions are as follows.
2. Open casmat, one click"other1" menue, then click "sets". Then a dialog box will be opened. select the pcutplot on the left of the dialog box(driver file list V), then add it on the right of the dialog box (driver P which is on work), and set it as current apply driver program. The default port is com1. if useing com2, then you should set the third step. or you can start to work.
3. select pcutplot on com1 then click "sett", a dialog box would be opened. There is a communication m in it. Push the m button, select colm2 local port. Then click OK and exit the set. Shut the dialog box and can start work.
Do you have casmate software installed on your computer or any cutting software if not download the signblazer from the forum all driver edition pick your cutter and select com port one if you are running serial port if you're using parallel port select lpt 1 make sure that the baud rates are set correctly . If your cutter only has serial it probably is a older cutter most all of new cutters come with usb connections now plus serial . My older dgi om60 has lpt on it either connection is better than usb more stable . Give us a shout back on what you are running as far as cutting software .
Those red buttons are on the far sides are shutoffs if it goes too far to the side. Not usually a problem but on the P-Cut 1200 model I had you used different locations on the machine to hit certain widths of vinyl and once I was over near the far left side and upsized my design too much and the cutter head ran over there and hit the red button and it shut me down. I think it's primarily so the machine doesn't try to force the cutting head and mess up the drive belt. I only had an issue the one time.

I've tried many many many driver combos and setups in flexi with no joy. In device manager everything comes up like it should. But there is somethings that on the machine that are different to any of the tutorials I can find or examples I've read.
Can send the Job to the cutter and flexi will hang on 7% or 100%(most of the time can be any random %) working with no response from the cutter. Some driver and setup combos have the cutter show "working usb" once the job is sent but still nothing at all from the cutter.
Did your Flexi 10.5 come with a USB dongle, like shown below? Which version of Flexi 10.5? There are several different. Does the cutter power on and cut the TEST? Have you tried a different cutting software? Did you download and install the FTDI driver for Windows 10, and reboot your computer?
I would say your Flexi 10.5, is pirated software. Counterfeit. Only legal Flexi 105. has a USB Dongle, unless it would be a version of Flexistarter., sold with a value cutter. The USB dongle has the User ID and password for legal software. The FTDI drivers creates the COM port number in your computer. Then you must match the Com port number in your Flexi set up. 1-4 with the com port in your device manager. Use a different software. It has been known that Windows 10 can detect counterfeit software and disable it.
Okay will have a look. The one thing is if I choose the creation pcut cr1200 in flexi it doesn't give any com port options in the drop down box only pcutusb and a few other random things nothing that's a com2 com4 etc
Perhaps you have a different version of SignBlazer, please reinstall using this link:

There is no CR1200, but a CT1200, and if you can manually reassign the Com Port to something other than 4, let's see if that works.
