self-motivated, entrepreneurial and successful Principal Engineer to
the team in Ottawa.

Ideally you are an engineer that has grown tired of the ups and downs
of tight or unrealistic deadlines, cancelled projects and products/
companies that are going or went nowhere; but still have the fire that
burns for utilizing your well-honed analytic skills and craving for
technology. You have coded, architected as well seen the larger
picture of projects and where they fit in the real world but now want
to move out from behind the “coding keyboard”.
You will have yearning to help others achieve success in licensing
their patented technological ideas. Having an entrepreneurial eye and
be forward thinking to understand why and where technology fits,
within areas such as Software, Semiconductor, Telecommunications
(Wireless is best but not the only one needed) and Systems.
Are you?
An engineer with at least 10 years of technology experience?
Able to work with a business development team to identify
opportunities that will make money in patent licensing? (Also the
technical wherewithal to decline opportunities that will NOT make
money)
Experienced with the patent application process and/or licensing
undertakings?
An engineer that enjoys the quiet time of analysing patents
(introverted) as well as being in front of the team or clients to
identify business development situations (extroverted)?
Someone that likes the security of a base salary but also loves the
potential earnings of bonuses through the successes you help create?
