Call for Task Proposal
The workshop and shared task Sentiment Analysis at SEPLN (TASS) has been celebrated at the International Congress of the Spanish Society of Natural Language Processing (SEPLN) since 2012. TASS was the first shared task focused on sentiment analysis in Twitter in Spanish. Spanish is the second language used in Facebook and Twitter, so it is very important the study of specific methods for the processing of Spanish and the creation of resources for sentiment analysis in Spanish. Therefore, the initial aim of TASS was the furtherance of the research on sentiment analysis in Spanish with a special interest on the language used in Twitter.
Although sentiment analysis is still an open problem, the Organization Committee wants to foster the research on other tasks related to the processing of the semantics of texts written in Spanish. Consequently, the name of the workshop/shared task has been changed to Workshop on Semantic Analysis at SEPLN (TASS).
TASS-2017 remains proposing two evaluation tasks related to polarity classification at tweet level and at aspect level. Moreover, the Organization Committee appeals to the research community for proposing and organizing evaluation tasks related to semantic tasks in Spanish. The organization of a new task is a good opportunity to create linguistic resources, to evaluate their usefulness and for the creation and leadership of a community interested on the topic of the task. Thus, we encourage the research community of semantic processing to lead an evaluation task, which will be celebrated with the support of the Organization Committee of TASS.
Semantic analysis has brought new tasks that attempt to go on the direction of the developing of a natural language understanding system. In the context of sentiment analysis some of those tasks are cross and multi domain sentiment analysis and aspect-based sentiment analysis. Out of the context of sentiment analysis, there are some tasks that are attracting the interest of the research community such as stance classification, negation handling, rumour identification, fake news identification, open information extraction, argumentation mining, classification of semantic relations or question answering of non-factoid questions. We encourage the research community to propose an evaluation task related to a semantic analysis in Spanish. There is not any list of pre-defined tasks, so you are allowed to propose any evaluation task that you considered that will be interesting for the research community.
The proposal has to be a document with the following fields:
· Title of the task
· Description of the evaluation task
· Linguistic resources to be created or existent linguistic resources
· Important dates
· Organization committee
· Contact person
The proposals have to be sent to the email direction tass-sepln@googlegroups.com and the deadline is the 15th of April of 2017. The notification of the decision will be the 21st of April 2017.

Convocatoria de petición de propuestas
El taller de evaluación sobre Análisis de Sentimientos en la SEPLN (TASS) se ha venido celebrando en el Congreso Internacional de la Sociedad Española de Procesamiento del Lenguaje Natural (SEPLN) desde el año 2012. TASS fue el primer taller de evaluación de sistemas de análisis de opiniones escritas en español. El español es la segunda lengua más usada en Facebook y en Twitter, por lo que es capital el estudio de técnicas específicas para el procesamiento del español, así como la generación de recursos lingüísticos propios para la tarea de análisis de opiniones en español. Por tanto, el objetivo original de TASS fue el fomento y promoción de la investigación en análisis de opiniones en español con especial atención al lenguaje que se usa en Twitter.
Aunque todavía queda mucho por hacer en la tarea de análisis de opiniones, el Comité Organizador pretende promover la investigación de tareas de análisis semántico sobre textos escritos en español. Por consiguiente, el nombre de TASS cambia este año a Taller de Análisis Semántico en la SEPLN (TASS).
TASS-2017 sigue manteniendo las dos tareas de clasificación de opiniones que ha venido proponiendo en las ediciones anteriores. Además, el Comité Organizador anima a la comunidad investigadora a proponer y organizar tareas de evaluación relacionadas con el análisis semántico en español. La organización de una tarea es una gran oportunidad para crear recursos lingüísticos, evaluar su utilidad, y la creación y liderazgo de una comunidad interesada en la tarea en cuestión. Por tanto, invitamos a la comunidad investigadora de análisis semántico a organizar una tarea de evaluación, la cual se celebrará con el apoyo del Comité Organizador de TASS.
La intención de desarrollar sistemas de entendimiento del lenguaje, empuja a la comunidad investigadora hacia tareas que se sitúan en el nivel del análisis semántico. En el contexto del análisis de opiniones, algunas de esas tareas son el desarrollo de sistemas multilingües e independiente del dominio y sistemas de clasificación de opiniones a nivel de entidad. Fuera del ámbito del análisis de opiniones, nos encontramos con interesantes tareas como el tratamiento de la negación, identificación de rumores, clasificación de noticias falsas, extracción de información libre de restricciones (open information extraction), minería de la argumentación, clasificación de relaciones semánticas y discursivas o clasificación de respuestas no factuales. Animamos e invitamos a la comunidad investigadora a proponer una tarea de evaluación relacionada con el análisis semántico sobre textos escritos en español. La Organización no cuenta con una lista predefinida de tareas, por lo que cualquier tarea será bienvenida.
