Hi all,

You must all have received the notification regarding your system papers by this time. In order to ensure consistency with the task description paper, I'm sharing the current version with you. Can I ask authors of system papers to please:

1) check if your system(s) names are the same as you used in your paper? If not let me know the names you want to use.

2) check if the systems short descriptions is correct: we had to summarize some of those I received, so we might have got things wrong. If you need to change anything, fee free to rewrite it, as long as it doesn't become longer.

3) send me the reference to your paper - we want to cite all system description papers in the task description paper. The page numbers will be missing, but that's ok.

4) cite the task paper in your system description paper to make it more self-contained:

Lucia Specia, Sujay K. Jauhar and Rada Mihalcea. 2012. SemEval-2012 Task 1: English Lexical Simplification. Proceedings of the 6th International Workshop on Semantic Evaluation (SemEval 2012), Montreal, Canada.

If you spot anything wrong, please shout!

Best,

Lucia

Hi Lucia,

I have cited the task paper in our system description paper. Also I am adding the bibtex reference for our system description paper to the .bib file in the task description folder on dropbox (so that you can directly cite it when you need; the cite key is 'jauhar:2012')

On an important side-note, did you get Deniz's about organizer's systems participating in the shared task? What does this exactly imply? What should be done about it?

Regards,
Sujay.

Hi Lucia,

in your task description the name of our system as well as its description are right referenced.
Here is the reference for our system paper.

SB-mmSystem reference:
