Hi organisers,

I have just downloaded the newest files and extracted the data for our system. I managed to adapt the extraction to yet a different format (no, I am not using csv_reader). But I am not sure I will be able to cast our submission into a similar format with 100% success. Therefore I would like to check if I can use a work-around. In a reply to an earlier post, you said you wanted comma-separated id,text, judgement . Is the text used in any way? Could I just replace this by X, avoiding any problems with quotes and entities?

Best wishes,
Hans

Hi Hans,

yes, you can use a workaround and replace "text" with any string (or "X") as long as the structure id, text, judgment is not affected. Please keep in mind that you still have to submit a CSV file.

Best,
Tobias

Hi Tobias,

I just tried to submit three times:
- .csv generated as textfile in Linux
- .txt just renamed from .csv
- .csv generated by Excel after importing above .csv

All three times, CodaLab complains that the file is of the wrong type (Invalid file type (application/vnd.ms-excel)).

All lines are of the form id,X,judgement. I jsut also tried "X" in a fourth attempt; same problem.

What are the exact requirements for file name, file extension and content?

Thanks,
Hans

Hi Tobias, Sapna,

I found the instructions after some more searching. The file now turned up in the list on the submit page (Task A). Strangely even twice. I did manage to add our second submission, which would mean with the double entry that the day total is now three. As the situation is not entirely clear, could you check if I now indeed have two valid submissions (arrived, right format, correct number of lines) and the chance to submit one more time tomorrow?

Thanks,
Hans

Hi Hans,

Unfortunately, we haven’t encountered this exception before.

A straightforward solution is to only replace the last field (label) X’s by predicted labels and not change anything else in the file.
The submission file named as submission.csv, zipped and named as submission.csv.zip and uploaded.

If not, could you send your submission to me for a quick check.

Regards
Organisers
