PowerInfo LLC provides cutting-edge software solutions to electric utility companies. Funded by DOE and ENTSO-E, we have been engaged in three R&D programs in the areas of standard-based power system model sharing & management, data-driven power grid visualization, and utility big data analytics. Today, the software tools resulting from these R&D programs are being leveraged by more than 90 electric utilities, ISO/RTOs, grid coordination organizations, vendors, and energy trading companies worldwide.

O&M in a utility organization has become increasingly challenging. Operation supporting engineers lack advanced tools for maintaining a growing number of utility operational systems. The situation is aggravated by many other factors, such as emerging NERC orders, aging workforce, etc. While initially built to support standard-based model exchange, CIMSpy is designed to support multiple business processes in a utility organization. One of the established goals is to derive various advanced tools to support/automate utility O&M.

I'm trying to set up conditional formatting for my cards in the multi info card visual (not the multi row card visual). I see this toggle to turn on Conditional Formatting, but I can't find where to set the conditional formatting. Any help? I feel like the recent PowerBI update didn't transfer well to this visual....

Does power bi report any errors? What method did you use to connect to the Google sheet?

1 Connect Google Sheets to Excel. Connect Power BI and Excel

For this method make sure you have synced onedrive

Hi the way it works is when they run a batch of drives only a few of those drives are tested. If it is a refurbished drive like you get from a RMA they are all tested. But the values would be very small as it would only be started once or twice.

Hi yes and the ones that WD would test would likely have the smart data wiped. For me if the drive does not come in a sealed antistatic bag not one that uses tape then it is not a new drive. Places like staples for example you can buy a drive take it home do what ever to it and can not get it to work they let you return the drive there A+ hehe techs recertify the drive tape the bag back up and put it out on the shelf to sell again.

I recently purchased a WD Black 4TB drive and noted the brand new smart values, it had smart values indicating it had been powered on once and run for 15 minutes if I remember correctly, probably just enough for an short or extended self test.

The values above indicate the drive has been run for 25 hours and powered on/off 61 times, 26 of which were not a safe shutdown (so like, using in an external enclosure and just pulling the cable etc, the drive detected the power loss and parked the heads accordingly.

One morning in December, I woke up and the clock in my bedroom was not working. I went to the bathroom and the lights were not working either. I told my wife that our power was out. She pointed out that this meant no coffee.

Because I had some electricity, I assumed that the problem must be inside my house. I started looking for an electrician that had Saturday service. I finally found one who answered the phone and was told that weekend service would start at more than $700, but they suggested I call the electric company first because the problem might be on their end. A second electrician called me back and agreed that I should first call the electric company, saying that while I may have some power, there could be a branch touching the power line and I might not be getting full power.

Then I heard my heat come on. I went outside to thank the PGE representative and let him know I now had heat again. He said there was a small branch touching the wire. I told him that when I called an electrician that morning, the electrician had told me that a tree branch might be the problem. He said I was lucky - sometimes electricians will charge the customer to come out when there is a partial outage, rather than tell them to call the power company first.

I also want to thank PGE. The response from their call center was quick and easy. The lineworker who came to my house was polite, pleasant and efficient. The problem I did not even know could happen was fixed within a couple hours.

DAX query view, released in public preview last month, in the December 2023 Power BI Desktop release has exciting updates including the new INFO DAX functions and improvements to the Update model CodeLens.

There are over 50 new INFO DAX functions now available! Those of you who are familiar with the Dynamic Management Views, or DMVs, of models in Power BI, Azure Analysis Services, and SQL Server Analysis Services will recognize these as the TMSCHEMA DMVs. The existing TMSCHEMA DMVs are now available as DAX functions. Providing them as DAX functions gives the following benefits:

Now I can see all the measures in my model, their expression, and other useful information about them. It also gives me their home table but in maybe a slightly less useful TableID column. Thankfully, there is an INFO.TABLES DAX function which has the name of table 10 and 13. To join them, I utilize SELECTCOLUMNS and NATURALLEFTOUTERJOIN shown in the example below.
