The next meeting of Austin ACM SIGKDD will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the Northwest Recreation Center.

The topic of this meeting will be the random forest implementation in Mahout. Random forest is an ensemble based method for decision trees. Please review the web page on the topic at the Mahout web site and read some of the linked papers and review the code before the meeting. This topic will take more than one meeting to review.
