Job Title      : User Interface Designer for native mobile apps(iOS and Android)

Job Duration   : 03 Months  Contract

Location       : Rochester,MN

The User Interface Designer will translate high-level requirements into visually appealing, intuitive and functional user interfaces for standard and responsive Web layouts and mobile applications. 

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with product management and IT to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience 

• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to IT 

• Deliver wireframes, mockups and prototypes for standard and responsive layouts and mobile applications that show user flows and detailed interaction behaviors 

• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders 

Requirements: 

• Proven UI experience with a strong portfolio 

• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps for Web and responsive layouts and mobile applications 

• Proficiency with prototyping tools, such as InVision 

• Excellent visual design skills 

• Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders 

• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively 

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

The User Interface Designer will supply design expertise to support the development of a prototype for a native mobile app. 

 

 Please Note: This is for a DESIGNER, NOT a developer.

Experience doing interface design for native mobile apps for both iOS and Android, including mobile wireframing, creation of user flows and building of prototypes. Familiarity with Apple Design Standards; experience with Apple Health Kit or Apple Research Kit is a plus.

 

 **PLEASE NOTE: This is more of a creative role than IT. The manager needs someone that is a designer. They are trying to fill this role permanently but have been having a hard time doing so.

That is why they are trying to bring in a temporary worker to fill in until they can hire someone permanent. There is no degree required for the contract assignment but if the contractor were to decide to apply for the perm role they would need to have a bachelor’s degree.**
