The Industry Track of NeSy 2026 (the 20th Conference on Neurosymbolic Learning and Reasoning) invites submissions detailing the practical applications of neuro-symbolic AI in real-world settings. NeSy is the premier venue for the integration of learning and reasoning.
Venue:
NeSy 2026 will be held in person at the Universidade de Lisboa, in Lisbon, Portugal, from September 1st to 4th, 2026.
Topics of interest:
This track focuses specifically on deployed systems, business value, and the challenges of moving from research to production.
We invite practitioners and researchers from both industry and academia to submit papers describing systems that:- Solve complex problems through the integration of deep learning and symbolic components.
- Leverage symbolic knowledge bases and expressive metadata to enhance deep learning systems.
- Support explainability and transparency through the use of background knowledge (XAI).
- Employ machine learning techniques for graph-based reasoning.
We welcome submissions on topics including, but not limited to, the following in an industrial context:
- Case studies and success stories of deployed neuro-symbolic systems in specific verticals (e.g., finance, healthcare, robotics, or manufacturing).
- Best practices and lessons learned from integrating neural and symbolic methods.
- Integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) with symbolic reasoning to improve factuality, planning, and reliability.
- Discussions on scalability, reliability, and other production challenges.
- Design and implementation of guardlines for deep learning systems using symbolic methods (e.g., mathematical reasoning).
- Reports on barriers to adoption and strategies for overcoming them.
- Benchmarks, datasets, tasks, and evaluation metrics with an industry focus.
- Analyses of business value, ROI, and competitive advantages of hybrid AI.
Important dates (All deadlines are Anywhere on Earth - AoE):
- Abstract and paper submission: July 17th, 2026 - Notification of acceptance: July 31, 2026
- Camera ready version: August 15
- Conference registration deadline: August 10
Submission procedure:
Industry track submissions must be 3 to 4 pages long, excluding references, and must be formatted using the official LaTeX conference template.
To facilitate a double-blind review process, all submissions must be anonymized. Purely promotional or marketing material is not suitable and will be rejected.
Accepted industry papers will be included in the official conference proceedings.
Please note that NeSy 2026 will be held in person. At least one author of each accepted paper must register and physically attend the conference to present their work.
