How can I change segment padding based on screen size?

I'm currently working on making my website more responsive.

I'm using a very padded segment to house my main content in the center of the screen. The extra padding helps a lot on larger screens.

However, on mobile, the extra padding squeezes text a little too much.

Is there some way to experience the best of both worlds?
