Good evening dear organizers,
I am a participant in the Sem-Tab challenge.
I would like to know if you recommend a specific SparQL API for WikiData and DBPedia.
Thank you very much!

Greetings, and apologies for replying late.

For Wikidata, we recommend one of these options:
1) The public Wikidata Query Service https://query.wikidata.org/ and its endpoint https://query.wikidata.org/sparql
2) Loading a local endpoint from the May 21, 2022 truthy dump we have uploaded on zenodo: https://zenodo.org/record/6643443#.YtlVCOzMJz8 It's not too difficult but it's time-consuming and you need a good machine. I've done this recently on a Linux machine and might be able to help if you run into any issues. This guide might help: https://addshore.com/2019/10/your-own-wikidata-query-service-with-no-limits/ and these repos: https://github.com/wikimedia/wikidata-query-blazegraph https://github.com/wikimedia/wikidata-query-deploy
3) USC ISI has a very nice tool called KGTK https://github.com/usc-isi-i2/kgtk It can help you avoid needing a SPARQL endpoint, but there is also a public endpoint although I am not quite sure what version it hosts and what limits it has: https://kgtk.isi.edu/sparql/ (If ISI folks are here, please let us know!)

For DBpedia for Round 2, the version used for our data set is 2016-10 so you may need to host your own endpoint. If anyone is aware of publicly available endpoints with this version, please let us know.

Cheers,
Oktie
