Hi all,
I know its been a long time, we had a group mail. Hope you are practicing the distinctions of landmark and at your top of your life! I am inviting you to be a part of community project that my friend has taken up.
One of my friends has created an online community for widowers and divorcees to interact with each other and also with counselors. They already have professional counselors on board.
I was very inspired by the community project, as I have personally seen my close friends going through emotional turmoil during these tough times.
I see sharing and creation as ways to overcome and thanks to my friend Vignesh(my colleague, landmark graduate), for coming up with such a platform to do that.
Pl find below, details of the community.
The group is only for widow or widower or a divorcee, who see the need for such a platform.
Pl feel free to forward this gift to your friends, whom you think would need such a community, inside of your stand.

Thanks and Regards,
Bhadri - Possibility of Love and Leadership

Hi

We are a group of widow(er)s and divorcees who are taking forward a friend’s idea of forming an online community for Indian widow(er)s/divorcees. . The main idea behind the formation of this community is to:

1) Provide a platform to have trusted interactions and meet ups.

2) Have a buddy for online chat that lightens up your day.

3) Provide help online to members without exposing their personal identity.

4) Provide a forum to interact with members on similar emotional level or understanding who serve as an inspiration to each other.

5) Discuss common issues and derive solution from other member’s experience.

6) Share personal success stories that motivates other members.

7) Have trained counsellors and psychiatrists as registered users who will help handle issues which need professional or scientific approach.

Now if you are an Indian widow(er) or divorcee and any or all of the above is something you can relate to. Please come be part of this community.

As a first step we have built a web site. We have named the community as ‘The Phoenix Family’. The idea is derived from mythological bird phoenix which is cyclically regenerated or reborn. The website URL iswww.thephoenixfamily.in . We have left the home page of the site bland without any information purposely to avoid unwanted attention.

Following videos would help you get started,

How to register in the site? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo8S_XF3gYM

How to use the site? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwSOtkgX1IA

How to get help in the site? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WS0XMhAcuCw

Slowly the membership in the site is trickling with a hand full of trained counsellors already on board as well.

Next steps would be to evangelize the community to friends you think would be interested in joining. We must agree that the site is not fully formed and could have minor technical glitches which we intend to solve as we start using it. We will try to continuously improve the site with more features and an android app is on its way as well.

Thanks

The Phoenix Family member
