Namaste.

Mitra Jyoti is an NGO working in the space of empowering visually challenged kids. The NGO achieves this through several of its initiatives. One such initiative needs "Kannada speakers" who are willing to offer their time & lend their voice to record/tape books in Kannada. The organization will train the volunteer with its process. The NGO is in HSR Layout.

Your generosity to offer your time and your willingness to lend your voice to tape the books will educate a visually challenged kid. 

If this inspires you, I invite any Kannada speaking friends in our SELP community who can devote time for such activity. My sister, Krithika (copied in my mail) who lives with her family in the US has been extending her support for this NGO. She will be happy to get you connected with Mitra Jyoti team.

Dear Kannan,

Great Initiative, you wouldn't believe i have enrolled a person for this who lives in HSR and he is located the very close to this NGO. this is a miracle. I think this a good example of " being in action" can cause miracles . 
 

His name is Chaitanya - 9845033966  and his mother Prema -9845578340.

For me it is difficult to read Kannada, otherwise i would have done. In my school days ,I always used to fail in Kannada test and only in exams they used to give me 35Marks and push to next class.
