Ifyou are passionate about students attaining highly, developing personally and learning to take responsibility for their behaviour, this is the role for you. If you are experienced in working with young people as part of a team, you do not want to miss the opportunity to work in one of the most improved and popular schools in Swindon.

This is a full-time role with working hours being 40 hours per week during term time, with a residual 182.5 hours to be worked in holiday periods or as extra hours as required. There is an expectation of flexibility to be able to respond to the needs of our scholars effectively.


Experience gained within the education or welfare sector is essential, as you will need to lean on your experience to deliver the requirements of the role. Experience of working with students in a pastoral role is desirable, but not essential.


Understanding the benefit of early intervention, Multi Agency working, Safeguarding and Child Protection are essential and any formal training in CP is highly desirable. Experience of being a lead professional, writing Early Help records and attending TAC meetings would be desirable, but not essential.


The ideal candidate will have passed their GCSE English and Maths at grade C/5 or higher and will have studied to A level or Degree (although this is not essential). ICT skills including Word and Excel is essential, experience of using Arbor/CPOMS or similar systems would be an advantage.
