This section of the guide will help you to play Co-Op within Farming Simulator 22. Following the steps laid out below will ensure your farming journey with friends begins as seamlessly as possible. Crossplay is a new addition to this game, allowing you to play with more friends than ever before, regardless of where they're playing.

You can choose a variety of options to narrow your search, including Game Map specification, Password protected servers, only servers with downloaded DLC, and a toggle for crossplay, should you wish to disable it.

'Create Game' has many of the same option toggles you'll find on the 'Join Game' screen. You can name the server, set a password (which is key for privacy), enabling/disabling cross-play, and an option to only allow friends into the server (seems to work specifically for the platform you yourself are playing on).

Once you've started the server, created your character, and loaded into the game, make your way to the Farm Management tab of the pause menu. From here you will have a button prompt available to invite friends to the server. You'll see the prompt in the bottom left of the UI, visible in the image below:

Good news, everyone! Farming Simulator 22 will feature cross-platform multiplayer. No more separation between friends on different systems - everyone can play together, regardless of their preferred platform.

If you're worried, other players might be superior at farming because of mouse and keyboard controls: don't worry, they won't be. But, you can still use filters to avoid crossplay servers, and prevent players on other platforms from joining your server.

Every player has to have the same content (DLCs and/or mods) installed as the server host. Otherwise, players with missing content can't join the server. Console users can only join servers with mods that are available through the official ModHub on consoles. Stadia users can only join servers with no mods activated.

The hosting platform is setting the initial limit of available slots (determining the maximum number of machines, tools, etc. on the server). If a player with fewer slots available on his platform is joining the game, he will set the new slot limit for everyone based on his platform.

If a server has already more slots occupied than supported by your platform, joining the server won't be possible. Since old-gen and current-gen consoles differ in terms of available slots, too, console players have to keep in mind the slot count when playing with friends using a console from a different hardware generation.

Thanks to crossplay, cooperative farming will be more fun than ever. Work the fields together, occupy different farms, and help each other out where you can. With production chains becoming part of Farming Simulator 22, there's even more to do, now.

That's not all: So everyone can farm together in (their own) style, the new character creator also allows for various new customization options. Just in time for crossplay. Stay tuned, we'll show it to you very soon. Get ready to put on shiny rubber boots, some cool glasses, and glorious mustaches.

Also available now: The Year 1 Season Pass. Get new content for Farming Simulator 22 and save money! On top of the price advantage of the Season Pass compared to buying the content separately, you'll save even more money by pre-ordering.

My co worker has a Xbox series X and i want to play with him from my PC. I enabled the friends list from the XBOx and imported the friends list on EA app, and it still doesnt show up. Is there a trick or a way where we can add each other so we get to crossplay? Ive hit Windows key and G on the PC and it brings him up and i see him on that, but it still doesnt allow for me to send him a game invite. I think it needs to be done in game, but i search his name and it doesnt come out.

@the_Ki11aBEE Both versions have crossplay (the last gen one is PS4/Xbox), so that's not a good indicator unfortunately. The simplest way to check is whether the Xbox tile has "X/S" in the bottom left corner. If it does, then they're loading the right version.

Stardew Valley, the beloved farming simulator, has captivated players with its charming 2D graphics, engaging gameplay, and the ability to play with friends. However, one question that often arises is whether Stardew Valley supports crossplay and cross-progression across different platforms. This guide will provide a clear understanding of the game's multiplayer capabilities and limitations.

Crossplay is a feature that allows players on different gaming platforms to play together online. Unfortunately, Stardew Valley does not support crossplay between most platforms. This means that if you are playing on a Nintendo Switch, you cannot join a friend who is playing on a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One.

The only exception to this rule is the PC version of Stardew Valley. Players using the Steam, GOG, or Windows 10 Store versions of the game can play together, regardless of which storefront they purchased the game from. However, crossplay between PC and mobile versions (Android or iOS) is not possible.

Cross-progression is another feature that gamers often look for, as it allows them to transfer their saved data between different platforms. In Stardew Valley, cross-progression is only available between the PC and mobile versions of the game.

The best experience in a farming simulator comes when you play with a bunch of your friends and just have a nice chill time. Dinkum is one of these games that you can enjoy solo, but it's definitely a lot more fun when you have some friends to vibe with.

Playing Multiplayer can be a little tricky at first in this game as it features some special mechanics that you don't really see in any other similar multiplayer experiences. It allows co-op up to four people including yourself, and you can all sleep inside the same tent as you start the game.

Hosting a co-op game in Dinkum isn't as easy as pressing the Multiplayer button and inviting your friends over. Before starting a Multiplayer game, players first need to start a New Game and go to sleep on the first day so that their game gets saved.

If you try to start a Multiplayer game without having your own world saved, you'll be greeted by the screen above. This is because, when you host a co-op game, other players join your world, and they can't go through the initial story of the game with you.

Similarly, when you join another player's world, your character's outfit and inventory are transferred to that world as well. Hence, the first step to hosting/joining a multiplayer lobby is to start a new game and get through the first day.

Once you've fulfilled the requirements above, head back out to the main menu and click on the Multiplayer button. Here, you can select if you want your game to be friends-only, invite-only, or Public. Once you've selected the right option, click on Host Game, and it will take you to your world.

Once you're in, press the button to open your journal, and you can directly invite your friends here through Steam. Once your friends are in the game, you can do everything around the world with them.

Every player seems to have different spaces in storage boxes and only one player can talk to an NPC at a time. Moreover, the day ends only when every player decides to call it a day.

Stardew Valley co-op makes multiplayer easier than ever now that the farming simulation has online and split-screen options to play with friends. You can mix and match how you and your friends collaborate on your farm with options for splitting resources and controlling how your game operates while multiple farmers are present. Stardew Valley co-op works around your playstyle.

Co-op farming relies on the Cabin farm building that you can buy from Robin. The host must have cabins on their farm for each friend (up to 3). Luckily, each cabin is cheap to build in an existing singleplayer save. You can also begin a new multiplayer farm with cabins already pre-built.

If you want to be able to invite your friends immediately, set the number of "staring cabins" to the number of farmers who will be joining you. Any co-op partner needs to have a cabin in order to join in. You may also want to choose the Four Corners farm map which is specifically designed to fit a whole four farmers with their own space to farm on the same land.

You can also invite a friend via LAN connection or by sending them the invite code located in your options menu in the multiplayer section. Your co-op partner can find options to join a LAN game or enter an invite code in the co-op section of their main menu. The "invite friends" option allows you to send an invite through your Steam or GOG friends list to the person you'd like to play with. You can also open your game for split-screen play.

If you've already started up a farm and have a cabin available for a friend, open your options menu and scroll down to the multiplayer section. Clicking "start local co-op" will prompt you to press start to join the game. You can do this either with a gamepad or the escape key on your keyboard. Your extra players should now have their own section of your screen to play on.

If you want to turn your solo farm into a co-op farm, don't worry. It's easy. Visit Robin's shop to build up to three cabins for anyone you want to invite. They're quite cheap, so even if you've just started a new farm you should be able to create a spot for your friend quickly by bringing her 100 gold and 10 stones or 10 wood. Robin will build cabins instantly, so you won't need to wait any in-game days for your friend to join you. Once it's plopped down, you can now invite another farmer by starting up split-screen co-op, a LAN session, or sending your invite code.
