Hi Self-hacking,

I'm Joanna, community manager at Devpost, an online community for software developers. We're running an online hackathon to build health apps on Red Hat’s new container cloud platform, OpenShift Online (Next Generation). Both new & existing apps are eligible, and there are over $40,000 in cash prizes, along with $500 in OpenShift credits for the first 200 eligible submitters.

Developers & health entrepreneurs can create a game, wearable, home automation, or general app that helps people stay healthy — whether that’s through fitness tracking, monitoring a chronic illness, improving doctor/patient communication, or any other health issue in need of a tech Rx. All participants get an instance of OpenShift Online with 10GB of storage and 4GB of RAM to build, host, and deploy their project.

Full details are @ openshift.devpost.com, and submissions are open from now through September 21. Feel free to email me directly @ joanna {{at}} devpost dot com with questions. There's also a Slack channel where you can look for teammates / ask questions: https://slackin-healthhack.rhcloud.com/.

Thanks, and healthy hacking!
