Hi everyone!

I'm Nicole Servais - I'm the Self Access Learning Center coordinator.
You may have seen me in the SALC or teaching Drama at the ELI.

I thought this discussion board might be a nice way for people to
interact with each other outside of class and give everyone an extra
opportunity to practice their English.

It's nice to *meet* you!

Hi, everyone!

I am Salih Cihangir,

I am from Turkey. I am here because of education quality of the U.S.A,
especially engineering is flying in this country. Most likely, I will
be here about 6 years for my master and PhD degrees. Then, I will come
to Turkey as an associate professor if I have complete my education in
success wit some extra conditions such as publications. I hope this
group extends, and we choose moderator or like that something. It will
be perfect to write here everyday about something. I hope again
anybody do not disturb another with his/her individual perspectives
about someone values.

See you everyday in this board...

Hi Salih,

Thanks for joining! I am the moderator on the board and will do the
best I can to monitor activity. I think if we all follow a few simple
rules, we will be fine!

What type of engineering do you want to study?

Hi Hyokung,

It's nice to meet you, too. I hope more students will join - part of
that will be you spreading the word! Let your friends in your classes
know that you have joined the group and perhaps that will encourage
them to join as well!

I think that, since it is the end of the session, we may not have many
people join this week, but I am hoping that more people will join in
Session IV!

Hi Adel,

I am the "director" (moderator). You know me from the SALC. :)

I have tried posting discussions on Facebook under the SALC page, but
nobody responded. Also, I find that many students do not have Facebook
accounts.

This is sort of an experiment as I really don't know how many students
will participate, but I hope that it will grow and that many students
will find it a good chance to practice English.
