Hi All,

Can anybody have an idea about how selenium or any open source tool can be used for Oracle Forms based application functional testing.

Please reply for any possible solution.

Thanks,
Afroz

Thanks for reply. Oracle Forms based applications are Java applet that consists of custom classes and children of the applet.

We have no control over the Java being run, our aim is to test the system build on top of Oracle's Tools. Note that forms are not HTML pages.

Any functional automation approach for oracle forms is what i am looking through open source/scriting.
However you can provide information, if it is possible by commercial tools as well.

I've never tried to handle java applets with selenium, I'd say no at
first sight but I'm not sure if there's something that can help you...

Alternatives I'd think of:
- QTP with analog recording.. (brittle??)
- Maybe pyWinAuto or something similar, depends on the scripting
language you want to work with...
