How to get capture text inside <p> Tag

Hi All,

Can anyone help in letting me know how to capture Text inside <p> tag

I need to get and verify text - "starts with" in sentence "Directory Path starts with" as "starts with" is in Select List box which is provided during input.

<b>Matching Criteria: </b>

<br/>

Match any of the following

<br/>

<br/>

Directory Path starts with 

<i>/NS/</i>

<br/>

AND File Name ends with 

<i>.doc</i>

<br/>

AND Owner is equal to 

<i>admin</i>

<br/>

<br/>

Directory Path is equal to 

<i>/NS/</i>

<br/>

AND File Name starts with 

<i>java</i>

<br/>

AND Owner is not equal to 

<i>user1</i>

<br/>

<br/>

<b>Content Placement:</b>

<br/>

    On ingest place the matching files in Storage Class: 

<i>Gold</i>

<br/>

</p>"

driver.findElement(By.tagName("<p>").getText()); just double check for the syntax
