Please refer to the link to see what kind if screenshots

I get - http://goo.gl/uDIyf3

instead ofhttp://goo.gl/BQy1hI .

Not sure what could be wrong here as the same code has been working for me on other machines. The only possibility that I see is an issue with the configuration on the machine but can't find what that issue is.

The same scripts when ran in IE, it renders the correct screenshot, so it could be a chrome specific issue. Have uninstalled & reinstalled chrome but still the same.

I am using Selenium 2.28.0 version.

Please let me know if anyone needs more inputs my issue. Any hint to resolve this would be really helpful.

Thanks

Hello Tahir,

I have the same issue on Win 8 64bit Virtual Machine running Chrome 36. Using selenium 2.41 and this was verified on chromedriver versions 2.8 and 2.10..
Are you by any chance running it on a VM?

This seems to be caused by a bug related to Chrome itself. Occurs on some machines running Chrome 36 or newer.
Below's the link to the related chromium bug.

A fix has already been made but it's not available in 37 release either. For now the workarounds for this would be reverting back to Chrome 35 if possible or using a different screenshot mechanism such as java Robot for taking the screenshot.
