Selenium Grid 4 max parallel session running

I have a problem in docker-selenium.

the number of parallel session executions is blocked at 2, although there are session slots available(totally 16).

I have searched in the documentation, but there is no information about this.

can you help me to use all available slots/session?

In my case Selenium + Java/MVN it is defined in pom.xml. It is handled by maven-surfire-plugin or maven-failsafe-plugin. There are settings like forks, threadCount look at the documentation .

So the point is the parallel requests are handled by your code not by Selenium Grid.

I developpe with python not Java. I use the threads.

I can also see in the queue that there are elements waiting. 

when I use selenium grid 3, there is no problem, the tests in session are well executed in parallel

Do you use it like standalone or hub + nodes or do you handle sessions separately on your own?

How many cores (CPU) do you have on your machine? Is it VPC with vCPU ?

If you run Grid 4 on a 2 core machine, you get 2 slots, on a 4 core machine you get 4. It is automatically set. If you have a scaleable VPS you can scale up, get more slots then scale down again.
