Dealing with Xpath IdRelative and Dynamic ID's.

Hi Team,

I am currently working on selenium automation and i have few queries regarding below.

1. When i start recording and click on web page it selects xpath position, id relative, id, link etc. What i intend to have is, whenever i click on any web element it should always prefer xpath idrelative first?

2. What are the possibilities that this capture will always prioritize xpath idrelative over any other locator?

3. How to deal with dynamic ID's in IDE itself and automate IDE so that it can select target as ex. //div[starts-with(@id,'abcd_div')]/input? so as to reduce manual intervention while recording and user does not need to enter this string manually to locate dynamic id? 

4. Also, i have one more question as to why when i record and save script i get multiple locator options and same i dont get when i load saved test script?

I have changed the locator preference in Options >> Options >> locator builders >> (i have kept xpath idrelative in first position), how ever can somebody tell me as what are the chances when it will not record idrelative?

Also, Can i automate in IDE so that it can customize the xpaths the way we need it?
