Selenium::WebDriver::Error::WebDriverError: unexpected response, code=404, content-type=""

I am trying to execute some tests using the Remote Web driver and intermittently I see this error when its trying find some element of the page. Has anyone else also experienced this issue? If yes, what are possible ways of resolving?

I am using ruby bindings if that helps

I am getting this issue now with the new Selenium 3 and Safari 10. Have you solved it before?

I got this error too, but it went away by using Safari Technology Preview instead of the regular Safari.
